The President of the Governorate participated in the presentation of the results achieved by the Customs and Monopolies Agency of the Italian Republic in the year 2024

The President of the Governorate of the Vatican City State, Sr. Raffaella Petrini, participated in the “Presentation of results achieved by the Customs and Monopolies Agency in the year 2024”, for the release of the second edition of “The Report on the State of Affairs in the Customs and Monopolies Agency”.
The event took place on Wednesday morning, May 21, at the Angiolillo Hall of Palazzo Wedekind, in Piazza Colonna in Rome.
During her speech, Sr. Petrini recalled the importance of the Collaboration Protocol between the Vatican Governorate and the Customs and Monopolies Agency of the Italian Republic, signed on February 27, 2025 to give new impetus in the transnational cooperation in customs matters.
Among those who spoke for Italy were the Director of the Customs and Monopolies Agency, Roberto Alesse, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, Maurizio Leo, while the Minister of Economy and Finance, the Hon. Giancarlo Giorgetti, sent a personal video message.
The President of the Governorate was accompanied by the Coordinator of the Vatican City’s Customs and Transit of Goods Services, Gianni Lasaracina.
